Rule of the Mob … or the Law!
It is a choice! One that this and other nations have struggled with over and over again. This time it appears to be more important to stand-up and speak-out on the path to the right choice. Silence is acceptance of the status quo … which has gone beyond the typically recurring clash of both ideas.
Politicians are driven by a variety of forces to take a stand or to hide on this issue. Business owners are not. That fact makes it no less important to recognize “what the mob demands” and seems willing to take violent actions to press the point of view.
Some courage as well as deep thought is required for either politicians or business owners to speak out against “mob rule” whether it is physical actions or simply repetitive loud voices for radical economic change. Speaking up, in a careful and consistent manner, may put your business into the mix in a way that would appear to be detrimental. However, not acting may impact the broader economic environment in which the business operates. Negative changes in basic economic principles and the foundation for business activity … the rule of law coupled with market forces … can severely hurt business in general.
Illegal actions and ill-conceived economic changes propagated by the mob will certainly restrict the publics freedom of choice and limit access to products and services. Well-reasoned, energetically delivered to exposure of the inevitable outcome for the “mob's chanted changes” cannot be delayed. Failure to stand against proven faulty plans for more taxes, less law enforcement, rent control, and other “anti-economic” policies can put any business into a sea of unworkable constraints and growing problems beyond easy control.
As Yogi said: If you wait until it is too late … It is TOO LATE!
Too late to teach a growing portion of the population the US history that provides freedom and unparalleled economic opportunities.
Too late to keep adequate city police forces on the job and from being hollowed out where they are no longer capable of addressing growing criminal activity.
Too late to stop the “mob's” dramatically negative impact on the true foundation of a strong economy … the public educational system.
Too late to alert the voting public about the broad and potentially unrecoverable position the “mob's ideas and policies” will rapidly deliver.
Too late to assure our real and perceived “freedom of speech” rights that can decay without open and active support to keep fully in place.
Too late to maintain the perception and the reality that the justice system is fair, balanced, and equally available and accessible to all citizens.
Too late to stop government actions that are slowly eliminating all the cumulative good done by the country's citizens for centuries.
Too late to stop the growth of “zombie followers” of performing politicians who have no desire to actually improve the lives of their constituents.
Too late to put patriotic voices and action into a positive position to bring the country together.
Too late to develop the business environment in the US to produce needed basic manufacturing and service jobs sufficient to support families and sustain many communities.
